Dentons
EXCLUSIVE TO TREDDERS.
The Denton family?s shoemaking heritage dates back to 1840, when Benjamin Denton opened a boot-making business in the heart of Northamptonshire ? the shoemaking county. After more than 100 successful years handcrafting fine footwear and formal shoes, it was 1944 that saw a change in the family business. With many qualified labourers away at war, foot injuries in factories were on the rise, creating an opportunity for B Denton & Sons to secure the rights for the patent of steel toe caps. In an effort to prevent the increasing problem, the agreement was secured and the business went from strength to strength.
While safety footwear is still a huge part of the Denton family and its businesses, Denton?s, as it is known today, was reborn in 2019. Focusing on the production of high quality men?s footwear, Denton?s stunning handmade shoes are still crafted in Northamptonshire and are exclusive to Tredders.
